Virtual Event |

This training will be conducted live via Zoom.

For many folks, the confrontational attitudes about "combatting," "challenging," "dismantling," and "confronting" racism and bias evoke fear of confrontation, shaming, and blaming that can cause them to withdraw, shut down, or simply not show up for the conversation in the first place. Research on relationship building, however, shows that there are ways to reduce interpersonal bias and grow empathy without making the conversation about race, racism, or discrimination and without anyone needing to fear shame or embarrassment.

In this workshop participants will:

  • Learn about the social science behind this approach.
  • Experience the technique for themselves.
  • Explore options for deploying this within the organizations they serve.

PSPMI members will receive a special partner rate. Choose Partner when registering and enter code PNODN Partner 2019. Also, please enter your PMI member number in the Occupation field.  Earn 2.0 Leadership PDU's.

Online registration closes two days prior to the training. We encourage pre-registration to allow the instructor to prepare for the training.
