With the emerging new normal, more and more project professionals are asked to work collaboratively with others in a team environment. Effective communication works when there is a meeting of the minds between individuals and teams.
In this interactive presentation, Brett Palmer will present ideas for increasing team engagement for both in-person and online virtual environments. We will also look at various facilitative techniques that can be used, and software technology for remote distributed teams.
Previously coming from a traditional project management background, Brett Palmer is an enterprise agile coach & trainer with more than 20 years of experience in business process improvement & reengineering. He has worked in the technology, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, & entertainment industries, and focuses on end user training & product adoption.
Brett developed award-winning online & instructor-led training solutions, and managed systems development, implementation, release coordination and deployments with globally-distributed teams. He also leverages his background in Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) to help agile teams and enterprises navigate organizational change to lean/agile approaches.
Following are some of the certifications that Brett holds: PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC/SPC4), Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) Certified Practitioner, ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC), Certified Open Space Agility Practitioner (OSA1), and Certified Trainer of Training from the Back of the Room.
Brett is also a founding co-organizer of Agile Coach Camp US West, is heard regularly on the AgileCoffee.com podcasts, and is a featured speaker and facilitator at Agile Alliance and Scrum Alliance conferences. He also volunteered his time with the Scrum Alliance to help create the new Certified Team Coaching (CTC) certification. Brett lives in Southern California and spends his spare time at the beach, hiking trails, and composing neo-classical piano music.
