You are invited to Puget Sound PMI's signature networking event which enables managers to share ideas and form relationships in their community and with hiring companies. Engage in discussions with peers on topics of technical project management, leadership, and strategic and business management while enjoying complimentary hors-d'oeuvres. We encourage meeting new people and developing relationships. Managers have benefited from these mixers, and some have found employment as a result of relationships started at these events.

Delicious hors-d'oeuvres will be served and a no-host bar will be available.

This month Randy Barber and Mohammed Raei will be joining us to give two enlightening talks!

“Super, Charged Leadership - Identifying and Breaking Boundaries to Success"

Randy Barber

The goal of this talk is to empower leaders to look at their lives differently, changing their results. They’ll have the ability to look at the things they do and begin to weed out those that are keeping them from leading in the most impactful way. They’ll minimize the unimportant and the non-urgent so they can make the highest impact on their organization. They’ll also discover how to:

  • Understand how they impose limiations on their lives – personally and professionally
  • Challenge what they believe to be true (because it’s the falsely-held beliefs that hold them back from what they are capable of achieving)
  • Stay laser focused on what they want (because distraction is an enormous barrier)
  • Utilize resources because you cannot achieve the extraordinary alone.

Randy Barber

Randy is a coach, facilitator, and speaker. He is the founder/owner of Proficio Partners, LLC. He is dedicated to helping highly motivated individuals, and organizations think differently to optimize productivity and profitability. Randy worked in the architecture/engineering/construction industry for 35 years. During that time, he led teams and managed personnel for more than 25 years. Randy is certified in the Frame of Mind Coaching™ methodology, and helps his clients shift their thinking in order to yield extraordinary results through personal transformation.

We all have the capacity to be great, yet we typically keep ourselves from living it. The good news is that we can all learn to get out of our own way and live our dreams.

“An Introduction to Adaptive Leadership"

Dr. Mohammed Raei

Maladaptive values and work habits can often cause delays and cause project cost overruns. Teams and organizations adapt to new realities and take advantage of opportunities by changing their values, assumption, or habits. Adaptive leadership is a framework for diagnosing and intervening in groups and organizations to overturn dysfunctional values and assumptions.

In this session you will learn to:

  • Classify the challenge you are facing.
  • Understand why people might resist change.
  • Develop potential strategies for intervention.

Dr. Mohammed Raei

Dr. Raei has consulted on strategic planning; co-facilitated a workshop on trust; and facilitated several workshops on immunity to change as well as several gatherings, meetings, retreats, and team building exercises for a variety of clients.

Mohammed served as a board member and programming chair for the Pacific Northwest Organizational Development Network where he developed many new programs.

Prior to this, he worked in the marketing of dairy products in the Jordanian market for several years where he also led the efforts for ISO 9000 quality management certification. Additionally, he represented the dairy and food industries on several national standards committees (in Jordan). Afterward, Mohammed represented several multinational, industrial goods companies in the Middle Eastern market.

He recently completed a Ph.D. dissertation titled “Development and Validation of the Adaptive Leadership with Authority Scale.” He has a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Antioch University, and has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University.
