“PMO Resource Management Best Practices”

Presentation Abstract:
”How do the best companies and Government PMOs manage their resources?  Are there benefits to managing resources within a PMO, or is that best kept separate?  Do you manage a “pool” of resources to be allocated to prioritized projects, or, are resources dedicated to different sub-organizations?  How and when do you decide to use contractors?  Consultants?  What are the best techniques for ensuring you have the right kind of resources with the right skillsets at the right time?  What tools/applications can help provide resource utilization visibility?  And yah, what have you learned that you wish to advise others to avoid?  The Roundtable will discuss!”

This season, the PMO Roundtable (PMOR) will offer nine monthly meetings covering all the most critical topics that affect the PMO ranging from PMO startup to Portfolio and Resource Management to best practices for methodology, tools, templates, dashboards and metrics.
