JACKSON LUM - VICE PRESIDENT OF TECHNOLOGY Candidate
“Giving back to the community” is a major focus for me these past few years. I need your vote so I can help Puget Sound PMI community members (new and existing) engage with each other and discover the shared purpose of being in this community. The dream community is one where everyone contributes and gets the same or more value in return. I’m a board member of University Temple Children's School who leads community events and recruits volunteers. I am also on the Engagement Committee at University of Washington which aims to build relationships and synergy amongst coworkers.
For 20 years, I managed IT projects ranging from ERP, CRM, Website, SharePoint/O365, to Server/Network Upgrades. I am an expert in using technology to share information about an organization, build/track community member engagement activities & generate excitement thru email marketing. In the last 2 years, I worked with the Sales and Marketing team at University of Washington on recruiting, admitting and retaining students. All of this is applicable to my goal of elevating the PMI community.
DEBRA DROZ - VICE PRESIDENT OF SPONSORSHIP CANDIDATE
I strongly believe that establishing trust amongst stakeholders while fostering a network with partners and customers facilitates collaboration and creates opportunities. I thrive in solving critical business and technical problems spanning a global network of partners. My certifications include PMP, PMI ACP and Software Product Management, I also hold a BS in Engineering/Physics.
During my 20-year tenure at Microsoft, I made impacts with larger divisions and smaller startup teams. My successes earned me awards, notably for innovative product design leadership, enterprise process improvement, customer and partner excellence, persona formation and innovation management. I also enjoy forming partnerships outside of work, volunteering in STEM activities with my sons and have served on a board of directors for Little League baseball for 5 years as Sponsorship Director. Continuing to server on the Puget Sound Board of Directors would be an honor, I feel strongly that I would continue to make a difference to the board by being an active member and building off of the collaborative infrastructure and nurturing the relationships created over the past year.
POLINA STOYANOVA - VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE CANDIDATE
Polina Stoyanova (CSM, PMP) is an experienced Finance and Accounting professional with an MBA in Financial Management and a Dual Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Economics. Her 20+ years of experience includes Corporate Accounting at PEMCO and Treasurer on the Bulgarian Cultural and Heritage Center of Seattle (BCHCS) Board of Directors. Polina managed and executed ERP software implementations, designed and established organizational accounting structures leading to excellent accountability, reporting and increased financial discipline. She was also instrumental in obtaining significant grants for three of the four years she was in office with BCHCS.
If elected as VP of Finance Polina will search for improvements and efficiencies in the financial processes of the organization so that assets are safeguarded and allocated in the best way possible for current and future growth. She will focus on devising financial strategies that will maximize the impact of organizational efforts to attract and retain new members and provide relevant and valuable content to current and future members.
FARIDA SHENASI - VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE CANDIDATE
Farida came to PSPMI with extensive business management experience leading projects across diverse industries over the last 14 years in multiple countries. As a leader, Farida is meticulous and inspiring, through establishing goals and developing business strategies she drove large teams to success within Nordstrom. Her dedication to PMI over the last 5 years is evident from the 70+ events she has helped make successful. In accepting her role as Director of Governance and Policy she has achieved the goals of her position through teamwork and devotion to the organization. With pride, she has made major contributions to the growth and success of PSPMI.
I see my role as helping to facilitate an understanding of the chapter's financial policies and procedures as they apply to appropriate spending while being flexible to unusual situations. Growth of membership goes hand in hand with our fiscal health as a nonprofit organization thus I am going to devote my time and knowledge to monitor and enforce policy along with developing new strategies to expand sponsorship and charitable interactions.

I will focus on communication, building relationships and improving the internal process for members to gain maximal output of their membership. I will reach out to the young professionals entering the job market to join our great chapter. I will identify business in the greater Seattle area that do not belong to the chapter and offer them for chapter membership. To improve quality, I will develop and perform an annual member needs questionnaire. Sharing the results with other members of the board. As a VP Membership I will take care of each general membership issue and be supportive to find a resolution. Together we are strong!
