With the new paradigm brought by Agile and Lean, how is a Project Management Office, PMO, still relevant?

This one-day class will show why the PMO is still needed and where the traditional PMO artifacts and tools are used to maximize the positive impact of both the PMO and Agile/Lean for your company.

We will also learn how to coordinate both waterfall and Agile teams, how to unite teams to deliver large program initiatives; as well how to identify metrics and KPIs so that leadership has a clear picture of progress against goals.

 Topics will include:

  • Elaborating an idea and converting it into a charter
  • Managing portfolios and projects based on strategic initiatives
  • Understanding and tracking work in progress limits
  • Creating a long-term roadmap for your company
  • Bringing a project from PMO intake to project team intake
  • Coordinating multiple Agile teams to deliver program-level initiatives through the PMO

Who should attend:

This workshop is for anyone who works on technology or software project teams and especially folk in leadership positions for portfolio or program management. Positive feedback for this workshop has been received from: project, program and product managers; business managers and analysts; product owners; scrum masters, systems analysts, developers, technical leads, and executives.


Agile experience is not required to attend this workshop.

Experience of working with IT or software projects would be helpful but not necessary.
